{"id":52285,"date":"2013-07-03T17:08:33","date_gmt":"2013-07-03T22:08:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uscho.com\/?p=52285"},"modified":"2013-07-03T17:08:33","modified_gmt":"2013-07-03T22:08:33","slug":"former-player-greeley-back-at-boston-university-as-associate-head-coach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uscho.com\/2013\/07\/03\/former-player-greeley-back-at-boston-university-as-associate-head-coach\/","title":{"rendered":"Former player Greeley back at Boston University as associate head coach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former Boston University player Steve Greeley has returned to the Terriers to serve as the associate head coach on first-year head coach David Quinn&#8217;s staff. <\/p>\n<p>Greeley, who spent the last seven years as a scout for the Los Angeles Kings&#8217; organization, replaces Mike Bavis, who resigned after serving on the BU hockey staff for 15 years, including the past four as associate head coach.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Steve is a bright and well-respected scout in the hockey world and he&#8217;ll be a fantastic college hockey coach,&#8221; said Quinn in a statement. &#8220;He&#8217;ll help us out in a lot of ways, as he is a fantastic evaluator of talent and a hard-working, enthusiastic person who will be able to connect with our players on many levels. I couldn&#8217;t be more pleased to have him back here at BU.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am honored to be coming back to Boston University and very excited to get to work,&#8221; added Greeley. &#8220;I loved this university as a student-athlete and look forward to working for this program under David Quinn.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>As a player at BU for Jack Parker from 2000-04, Greeley played in 77 games and as a senior in 2004, he was the recipient of the team&#8217;s Bennett McInnis Award for Spirit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former Boston University player Steve Greeley has returned to the Terriers to serve as the associate head coach on first-year head coach David Quinn&#8217;s staff.
