{"id":55047,"date":"2013-12-18T07:30:29","date_gmt":"2013-12-18T13:30:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uscho.com\/?p=55047"},"modified":"2013-12-17T21:58:17","modified_gmt":"2013-12-18T03:58:17","slug":"minnesota-reclaims-top-spot-in-d-i-mens-poll","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uscho.com\/2013\/12\/18\/minnesota-reclaims-top-spot-in-d-i-mens-poll\/","title":{"rendered":"Minnesota reclaims top spot in D-I men&#8217;s poll"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Minnesota was idle last weekend, but even in that regard, the Gophers regained the top spot in this week&#8217;s USCHO.com Division I Men&#8217;s Poll with 32 first-place votes.<\/p>\n<p>Minnesota moved up one from last week, while last week&#8217;s top-ranked team, St. Cloud State, fell to fourth after losing to and tying Union. SCSU did garner four first-place votes, however.<\/p>\n<p>Ferris State charged up to No. 2 from No. 4 with a tie against Michigan and a win over Michigan State. The Bulldogs also received 12 first-place nods from the voters.<\/p>\n<p>Michigan remained No. 3 after the Ferris State tie.<\/p>\n<p>Idle Providence stayed No. 5 and had the other two first-place votes.<\/p>\n<p>Union moved up four spots to No. 6, while idle Boston College dropped one to No. 7, idle Quinnipiac went down one to No. 8, idle Clarkson fell one to No. 9 and Massachusetts-Lowell, also off last weekend, dropped one spot to No. 10.<\/p>\n<p>Yale sat idle and remained No. 11, as did Miami at No. 12 and Notre Dame at No. 13. <\/p>\n<p>Wisconsin swept Colorado College and jumped one place to No. 14 and idle Cornell fell one notch to No. 15.<\/p>\n<p>Northeastern was off and stayed 16th, Denver beat and tied Renssealer to move up three to No. 17, Lake Superior State split with Alaska-Anchorage and falls one to No. 18, idle Nebraska-Omaha is again No. 19 and Minnesota State, fresh off sweeping Alabama-Huntsville, re-enters the rankings at No. 20 this week.<\/p>\n<p>There will not be a poll conducted Dec. 23.
