Things are a little tricky with this week’s version We\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2re again using the NCAA rankings<\/a>, but they’re a little out of whack because Castleton is out of the rankings <\/a>this week as a penalty for not reporting its scores to the NCAA on time. This not only affects the Spartans, but teams that have played them, since they are temporarily unranked.<\/p>\n If the season ended today, the AQs would go to:<\/p>\n ECAC East \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Norwich<\/p>\n ECAC Northeast \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Mas-Dartmouth<\/p>\n MIAC \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Bethel<\/p>\n NCHA \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Wisconsin-River Falls (wins tiebreaker with St. Norbert and UW-Stout)<\/p>\n NESCAC \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Bowdoin (wins tiebreaker with Middlebury)<\/p>\n SUNYAC \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Oswego<\/p>\n Using the PWR:<\/p>\n The Pool B bid goes to Manhattanville, which is the top Pool B team in the PWR and is 3-0-1 in individual matchups over Neumann, the next closest Pool B team.<\/p>\n Based on the rankings this week, I’m predicting that the Pool C bids at the moment go to St. Norbert, Neumann and UW-Stout right now, with a case also being made for UW-Superior (and a case will be made since the YellowJackets are hosting the D-III Frozen Four).<\/p>\n That leaves us a field of (ranked by NCAA Rankings):<\/p>\n East:<\/p>\n West:<\/p>\n This would mean the first round would be:<\/p>\n Quarterfinals would be:<\/p>\n Winners meet in Superior.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Things are a little tricky with this week’s version We\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2re again using the NCAA rankings, but they’re a little out of whack because Castleton is out of the rankings this week as a penalty for not reporting its scores to the NCAA on time.
