{"id":58803,"date":"2014-05-07T16:37:57","date_gmt":"2014-05-07T21:37:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uscho.com\/?p=58803"},"modified":"2014-05-07T16:37:57","modified_gmt":"2014-05-07T21:37:57","slug":"clark-adds-to-resume-named-new-assistant-coach-at-denver","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uscho.com\/2014\/05\/07\/clark-adds-to-resume-named-new-assistant-coach-at-denver\/","title":{"rendered":"Clark adds to resume, named new assistant coach at Denver"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Denver has added Joe Clark as a new assistant coach for the 2014-15 season.<\/p>\n<p>Clark, who replaces David Lassonde, who took a similar position at Dartmouth, has spent the previous 25 years as an NHL scout, minor league and junior hockey general manager and head coach and goaltending coach in addition to a decade-long stint as a head coach in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are extremely excited to add Joe Clark to the Denver hockey staff and family,&#8221; DU head coach Jim Montgomery said in a news release. &#8220;Joe brings a wealth of experience in recruiting, scouting and coaching. His work ethic, intelligence and integrity will help the Denver hockey program maintain its long tradition of success in the classroom and on the ice.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Clark got his coaching career off the ground as the goalie coach at Maine and helped the Black Bears to their first-ever NCAA tourney appearance in 1987 and first Frozen Four in 1988.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am excited and honored to be working for such a storied program,&#8221; Clark added. &#8220;Being part of the DU hockey family is a great opportunity, at many levels for me as well as my family.
