{"id":63218,"date":"2015-03-09T11:21:04","date_gmt":"2015-03-09T16:21:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uscho.com\/?p=63218"},"modified":"2015-03-09T11:21:04","modified_gmt":"2015-03-09T16:21:04","slug":"eleven-teams-selected-for-mens-division-iii-national-tournament","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uscho.com\/2015\/03\/09\/eleven-teams-selected-for-mens-division-iii-national-tournament\/","title":{"rendered":"Eleven teams selected for men&#8217;s Division III national tournament"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The NCAA Division III field of 11 teams for the 2015 national tournament was announced Monday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Seven conferences have been awarded an automatic bid, while the remaining four teams were selected as at-large teams.<\/p>\n<p>Teams that received an auto-bid by winning the conference playoff tournaments are Norwich (ECAC East), Nichols (ECAC Northeast), Plymouth State (MASCAC), Hamline (MIAC), Amherst (NESCAC), Adrian (NCHA) and Plattsburgh (SUNYAC).<\/p>\n<p>Hobart, Oswego, Trinity and Wisconsin-Stevens Point enter the field as the four at-large selections.<\/p>\n<p>The championship playoff format involves three first-round games and four quarterfinal games that are played on the campuses of the participating schools. All games in the championship are single elimination.
