Total number of votes: 26,479<\/p>\n
Fighting Hawks: 12,098 (45.69 percent)
\nRoughriders: 7,400 (27.95 percent)
\nNodaks: 6,981 (26.36 percent)<\/p>\n
“Because public awareness and interest is high, UND wanted to implement the final vote as quickly as possible,” the release states. “The vote will begin after Veterans Day so that telephone support personnel can be available during regular business hours to assist voters with questions. It will conclude on Nov. 16 and UND expects to announce the winner later that week.”<\/p>\n
The runoff vote will be conducted through Qualtrics, the third party online voting platform provider that managed the preliminary nickname votes. Voting will follow the same process used for the preliminary votes, and will be open to current UND students, current UND faculty, current UND staff, UND retirees, alumni and donors, in addition to current UND athletics season ticket holders.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
