Jim last week: 7-2-1

Dave’s record-to-date: 97-64-14

Jim’s record-to-date: 98-63-14

Jim’s pick: So many difficult games to pick this weekend, and this starts them. I think BC is hot enough coming off the Beanpot win that it will carry through to Friday.

BC 4, MC 3

Dave’s pick: I’ve been picking BC all season long and paid the price during its midseason swoon. Now that the Eagles have won five straight and in impressive fashion, I’m not going to start picking against them now.

BC 4, MC 2

Jim’s pick: UMass has given Maine fits late in seasons before, but I think this Maine team is too hot right now

Maine 4, UMass 2

Dave’s pick: The Minutemen finally got off the road schneid last week at BU, but that still leaves them at 1-9-2 away from the Mullins Center. Alfond Arena isn’t the place to make it two in a row.

Maine 5, UMass 2

Jim’s pick: Last weekend’s home loss for Lowell was the exception, not the rule. Picking the River Hawks once again at the Tsongas.

UML 4, BU 3

Dave’s pick: Lowell has earned the best home record in the league (10-2-0), but I can’t shake the feeling that its Cinderella season is about to toll midnight.

BU 3, UML 2 (OT)

Jim’s pick: These are two teams heading in opposite directions. Easy pick, in my opinion.

UNH 4, UVM 1

Dave’s pick: I have to agree 100 percent.

UNH 4, UVM 1

Jim’s pick: I feel like I should be picking Providence here, hands down, but I think Northeastern has something to prove after another dismal Beanpot.

NU 4, PC 3

Dave’s pick: The Huskies do have something to prove, but I don’t think they’re going to do it.

PC 4, NU 3

Jim’s pick: The Friars will bounce back Saturday at home. [Dave here: Jim originally listed this game at Providence, but since it’s at Northeastern I’m giving him until Friday at 7 to switch this pick. ]

PC 5, NU 2

Dave’s pick: I’m going against the odds here and picking the Friars to sweep on the road.

PC 3, NU 2

Jim’s pick: The Black Bears will finish off this sweep at home to keep the race atop Hockey East as tight as possible.

Maine 5, UMass 2

Dave’s pick: Could the Black Bears stun everyone and finish in first place?

Maine 4, UMass 2

Jim’s pick: This feels like a split and I’ll go the home team route.

BU 3, UML 2

Dave’s pick: BU’s four losses in its last six games do concern me, but I still think this is a Terrier sweep.

BU 3, UML 2

Jim’s pick: I really feel like I should be picking Merrimack here, particularly how much BC has struggled at Lawler in recent years. But I just have a gut feeling about BC this weekend.

BC 4, MC 3

Dave’s pick: Like Jim, I’m sticking with BC.

BC 3, MC 2 (OT)

Jim’s pick: Second night will be closer, but UNH is just the better team right now.

UNH 3, UVM 2

Dave’s pick: I don’t see either game in this series being close.

UNH 4, UVM 1
