{"id":71458,"date":"2016-04-16T16:03:48","date_gmt":"2016-04-16T21:03:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uscho.com\/?p=71458"},"modified":"2017-04-04T13:25:59","modified_gmt":"2017-04-04T18:25:59","slug":"after-winless-15-16-season-union-announces-womens-coach-barcomb-will-not-return","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uscho.com\/2016\/04\/16\/after-winless-15-16-season-union-announces-womens-coach-barcomb-will-not-return\/","title":{"rendered":"After winless &#8217;15-16 season, Union announces women&#8217;s coach Barcomb will not return"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Union women&#8217;s coach Claudia Asano Barcomb will not be returning next year, the school announced Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Barcomb has served as the head coach of the Dutchwomen since the 2007-08 season.<\/p>\n<p>A national search for the next coach will commence immediately.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We thank Claudia for her efforts and work with the student-athletes both on and off the ice and wish her all the best in her future endeavors,&#8221; said Union director of athletics Jim McLaughlin in a statement. &#8220;Claudia brought many positive attributes to the program and the campus community, as well as the student-athletes under her guidance.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I would like to thank the many dedicated players that I have had the privilege of coaching through these nine years at Union College,&#8221; added Barcomb. &#8220;I would also like to thank my family, my staff, and the Union College community who have supported our program throughout the years.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Over the course of her tenure at Union, Barcomb fashioned a record of 36-236-32, including an 0-28-6 mark in 2015-16.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Union women&#8217;s coach Claudia Asano Barcomb will not be returning next year, the school announced Friday.
