{"id":79144,"date":"2017-09-29T14:41:36","date_gmt":"2017-09-29T19:41:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uscho.com\/?p=79144"},"modified":"2017-09-29T14:41:36","modified_gmt":"2017-09-29T19:41:36","slug":"former-wisconsin-stout-goalie-chase-hollander-named-volunteer-coach-at-denver","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uscho.com\/2017\/09\/29\/former-wisconsin-stout-goalie-chase-hollander-named-volunteer-coach-at-denver\/","title":{"rendered":"Former Wisconsin-Stout goalie Hollander named volunteer coach at Denver"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Denver Pioneers has named Chase Hollander as a volunteer coach for the 2017-18 season.<\/p>\n<p>Hollander joins the Pioneers with eight years of coaching experience, recently serving as a goalie coach at Mike Valley&#8217;s Elite Goalies Camp, the Sweden Hockey Institute and Elite Hockey Training. <\/p>\n<p>During his coaching tenure, he has worked alongside Mike Valley, the director of goaltending development for the Dallas Stars, and Thomas Magnusson, the director of goalie development for the Swedish Ice Hockey Association.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I worked with Chase during my tenure with the Dubuque Fighting Saints,&#8221; Pioneers coach Jim Montgomery said in a statement. &#8220;We are lucky to have such a high-quality person serve as our volunteer coach and work primarily with our goalies. Chase will add to our program and enrich our student-athletes on and off the ice.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>As a player, Hollander posted a 3.80 GAA and .887 save percentage through 25 games with Wisconsin-Stout from 2013 to 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Hollander graduated from Stout in May 2017 with a bachelor of science degree in psychology and minor in coaching.
