Matthew and I correctly picked all the series, even if we didn’t do so hot in picking the games. Matthew only picked series, but he did give a game number, while I gave scores. Based on that, I went 5-4 while Matthew went 4-5, as we didn’t see Denver and St. Cloud needing three games, and I’m assuming we got the Omaha-North Dakota order wrong, and I picked Duluth to sweep. On the year, I am 103-61-23 (.612), while Matthew is 97-67-23 (.580).

I haven’t always done the best picking the Frozen Faceoff, but let’s go for it. Matthew got me his picks just before puck drop today, so I’ve updated this.

Candace: NoDak is fighting for its NCAA tournament lives. A loss could effectively end their chances because of what happened in the WCHA tournament. Last year, North Dakota ended St. Cloud’s season. I’m guessing St. Cloud comes out motivated to do the same. St. Cloud State 3-2

Matthew: Three of these teams’ four meetings so far this season went to overtime, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised for that to happen again and for SCSU to pull through. St. Cloud State 4-3

Candace: Denver looked really good in the third game against Colorado College last weekend, but sort of struggled for a lot of the first two games. If the DU that played Sunday comes out, this could be a Pioneers win. However, since DU has won five in a row against Duluth, I feel the Bulldogs are due. Minnesota Duluth 3-2

Matthew: Eight of UMD’s last 11 losses to Denver (all in the teams’ last 13 meetings) were in one-goal games For some reason, I have a feeling UMD is due here. Minnesota Duluth 3-1
