The 2018 Bowdoin athletic Hall of Honor ceremony is scheduled for Oct. 6 at the Kresge Auditorium in the Visual Arts Center.<\/p>\n
The event is free and open to the public and will begin with coffee and light refreshments at 9 a.m., followed by the ceremony at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n
This will be the 13th class inducted into the school’s Hall of Honor and will recognize six individuals, spanning seven decades of Bowdoin Athletics.<\/p>\n
Field hockey and ice hockey star Marissa O’Neil, who graduated in 2005, will be honored. O’Neil was a three-time All-NESCAC honoree, where she helped lead the most successful senior class in Polar Bear women’s hockey history (85 wins, two NESCAC championships, two Final Fours).<\/p>\n
O’Neil is entering her ninth season as head coach for her alma mater.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
