Kristin O’Neill and Cornell could overtake Princeton for the ECAC crown. (Cornell Athletics)

It’s hard to believe that the postseason is almost here. The ECAC, Hockey East, and WCHA end their seasons this weekend, but plenty of positioning is still in play. Last weekend, I went 21-3-6 (.800), while Nicole was 20-4-6 (.766). On the year, I am now 298-107-51 (.709), while Nicole is 280-125-51 (.669).

Friday, Feb. 22

Harvard at Brown

Candace: Harvard should win this; Brown hasn’t done anything in months. Harvard 3-1

Nicole: I think Harvard will win this one. Harvard 3-0

No. 6 Princeton at No. 5 Clarkson

Candace: Clarkson will keep the pressure on Princeton, which falls to second after this game. Clarkson 3-2

Nicole: I’ll take Princeton to win this one. Princeton 3-2

No. 4 Cornell at Rensselaer

Candace: Even with Lovisa Selander in net, I think the Big Red should get this. Cornell 3-2

Nicole: Cornell should win this one. Cornell 4-2

Quinnipiac at St. Lawrence

Candace: I lean toward the Saints, who have more scoring. St. Lawrence 2-1

Nicole: I think St. Lawrence wins this one. St. Lawrence 2-1

No. 9 Colgate at Union

Candace: I think the Raider stay hot. Colgate 3-1

Nicole: Colgate should take this one. Colgate 4-1

Dartmouth at Yale

Candace: I’ll go with home ice. Yale 3-2

Nicole: I’ll take Dartmouth to win this one. Dartmouth 3-2

No. 8 Boston University versus Connecticut

Candace: The Terriers stay hot. Boston University 3-2

Nicole: BU should win this one. Boston University 3-1

Providence at Holy Cross

Candace: Providence will get the win and stay in fourth. Providence 3-1

Nicole: Providence takes it. Providence 4-1

Friday-Saturday, Feb. 22-23

Penn State at RIT

Candace: Hard to see it as anything but a split. RIT 2-1, Penn State 2-1

Nicole: I think this is a split. I’ll take RIT in game one. RIT 2-0, Penn State 3-1

Lindenwood at Syracuse

Candace: Lindenwood struggles on the road. Syracuse 3-1, 3-1

Nicole: This should be a sweep by the Orange. Syracuse 4-1, 3-0

Mercyhurst at Robert Morris

Candace: Hard to see this as anything but a split, considering how inconsistent these two have been of late. Robert Morris 3-2, Mercyhurst 3-2

Nicole: I can’t imagine this ends up as anything other than a split. Mercyhurst 2-1, Robert Morris 4-3

Merrimack versus No. 3 Northeastern

Candace: I think Northeastern probably gets back on track, though the games are tight. Northeastern 3-2, 2-1

Nicole: I think Merrimack can take one of these. Northeastern 2-0, Merrimack 2-1

No. 2 Minnesota at Bemidji State

Candace: It won’t be easy, but the Gophers will sweep. Minnesota 3-2, 3-1

Nicole: I think Bemidji State takes one off the Gophers here. I’ll take Bemidji in game one. Bemidji State 3-2, Minnesota 4-2

Minnesota Duluth at Minnesota State

Candace: I’m going with the Bulldogs, who have been more consistent. Minnesota Duluth 3-2, 3-1

Nicole: I’ll take a split here, as well. Minnesota State 2-1, Minnesota Duluth 2-0

No. 10 Ohio State at No. 1 Wisconsin

Candace: The Badgers take their fourth straight WCHA crown. Wisconsin 3-1, 3-1

Nicole: I’m going to say Wisconsin sweeps with a ton on the line and at home on senior weekend. Wisconsin 3-1, 4-2

Saturday, Feb. 23

Dartmouth at Brown

Candace: The Big Green end their season with a win. Dartmouth 3-1

Nicole: Dartmouth wins. Dartmouth 3-1

Quinnipiac at No. 5 Clarkson

Candace: Clarkson keeps the pressure on Cornell and Princeton. Clarkson 4-1

Nicole: I expect Clarkson to win this one. Clarkson 4-2

No. 9 Colgate at Rensselaer

Candace: The Raiders stay hot. Colgate 3-1

Nicole: Colgate wins this one. Colgate 2-0

No. 6 Princeton at St. Lawrence

Candace: Princeton will get the win, but it’s not enough for the ECAC crown. Princeton 3-1

Nicole: Princeton takes it. Princeton 4-2

No. 4 Cornell at Union

Candace: The Big Red win and take the ECAC title. Cornell 4-1

Nicole: Cornell wins. Cornell 4-1

Harvard at Yale

Candace: Harvard takes this and sets up a date with Colgate in the ECAC tournament. Harvard 3-1

Nicole: I think Harvard will win. Harvard 3-1

Vermont at Maine

Candace: Given Maine just had four players suspended, I’m going with Vermont. Vermont 3-2

Nicole: This is the toughest pick of the weekend. I’ll take Maine at home for the tournament berth. Maine 3-2

No. 7 Boston College at New Hampshire

Candace: Boston College wins and finishes second. Boston College 4-2
