HAMDEN, Conn. — <\/strong>Minnesota got a power-play goal from Nicole Schammel in the second period and an empty-netter from Sarah Potomak to advance to the national championship game. The Gophers are playing in their first national championship since 2016, when they defeated Boston College.<\/p>\n

Minnesota will face WCHA rival Wisconsin, which broke open its semifinal in third period against two-time defending national champion Clarkson and cruised to a 5-0 win. Wisconsin has not won a national championship since 2011.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
