On Saturday, Nicole Schammel put the Gophers on the board just seconds before the end of the second period. Wisconsin answered with a Sarah Nurse goal and that was all the scoring. Overtime was not enough to get a winner. The Badgers took the shootout thanks to a Jenny Ryan goal. On Sunday, the teams were scoreless through 65 minutes and it was Minnesota that took the shootout with a Lee Stecklein goal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Penn State at No. 8 Robert Morris<\/strong><br \/>\nOn Friday, Penn State scored twice in 29 seconds near the end of the first to take a 2-1 lead. They added a goal from Meike Meilleur in the third to seal the eventual 3-2 win. On Saturday, Amanda Pantaleo and Aneta Ledlova scored for the Colonials in a 2-0 win.<\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 5 St. Lawrence at No. 7 Cornell<\/strong><br \/>\nSt. Lawrence jumped out to a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Kalie Grant and Kennedy Marchment, but Cornell responded with two third-period goals to earn the tie. Freshmen Jamie Bourbonnais and Amy Curlew scored for the Big Red.<\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 3 Clarkson at No. 7 Cornell<\/strong><br \/>\nCornell carried a 3-1 lead into the second period thanks to three power-play goals, but Clarkson responded with three straight goals to take a 4-3 lead. Grace Graham tied the game with less than five to play in regulation, but Clarkson took the win with a Loren Gabel goal just 46 seconds into overtime. Cayley Mercer had two goals and an assist for the Golden Knights.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Merrimack at Vermont<\/strong><br \/>\nFriday&#8217;s game featured six third-period goals as the Catamounts outlasted Merrimack 4-3. Paige Voight had a goal and an assist for Merrimack. Rachael Ade had a goal and two assists for Vermont. On Saturday, Merrimack earned its first-ever postseason berth in just their second D-I season with a 3-2 win. Freshman goalie Lea-Kristine Demers made a career-high 48 saves. Vermont hopped out to a 2-0 win but Merrimack scored three unanswered to earn the win. Madison Morey scored the game-winner for Merrimack in the third period.<\/p>\n<p><strong>No. 6 Boston College vs. Providence (home-and-home)<\/strong><br \/>\nOn Saturday, Providence broke a 15-game losing streak to the Eagles, winning for the first time since 2012. It was a fitting senior day for the Friars. Providence scored just 54 seconds into the game and jumped out to a 2-0 lead before BC responded. Kathleen McHugh scored her second of the game midway through the third to secure Providence the win. Brook Boquist, who had two assists on Saturday, scored Providence&#8217;s only goal &#8212; a short-hander. From there, it was all Boston College. Caitrin Lonergan had two goals to lead BC to a 3-1 win.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rest of the top ten<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>St. Cloud State at No. 2 Minnesota-Duluth<\/strong><br \/>\nKatherine McGovern and Sydney Brodt each scored twice to lead the Bulldogs to a sweep of the Huskies.
