Calling Bemidji State to beat Minnesota Duluth and Dartmouth to beat Maine paid off for Nicole last week, as she gained on my lead again. Both of us did pretty well though. Last week, I went 24-5-3 (.796), while Nicole went 26-3-3 (.859). On the year, I am 102-36-18 (.711), while Nicole is 98-40-18 (.673). We’ve got a couple sizzlers between ranked teams on the docket, so let’s see how we can do.

Candace: Dartmouth has shown signs of life, and is at home. Dartmouth 3-2

Nicole: I’ll take the home team here. Dartmouth 2-1

Candace: Brown looks like it struggles at both ends, and Harvard seems to be on track. Harvard 3-1

Nicole: So far it looks like things have improved in Cambridge. I expect that to continue here. Harvard 3-1

Candace: Princeton has had a tough start to its season, but I like the Tigers to get a win. Princeton 3-2

Nicole: The Tigers should be able to handle RPI. Princeton 2-0

Candace: Quinnipiac should have enough, because they have a stingy defense. Quinnipiac 2-1

Nicole: I’m so tempted to pick an upset here, but I’ll take Quinnipiac at home. Quinnipiac 2-0

Candace: I don’t know what’s wrong with the Terriers, but this is shaping up to be a long season for them. Connecticut 3-2

Nicole: I’ll take Connecticut to win. Connecticut 2-1

Candace: I was pretty impressed by the Friars last week, and Maine is so up and down it’s hard to pick them. Providence 4-3

Nicole: This one feels like a toss up, so I’ll once again pick the home team. Maine 3-2

Candace: RIT is the second-best team in the CHA right now, but it won’t be enough. Robert Morris 3-1, 3-2

Nicole: RMU gets to head home for the first time in awhile. They should sweep. Robert Morris 3-0, 4-2

Candace: I don’t have a handle on either team yet, but I like the Orange at home. Syracuse 2-1, 2-1

Nicole: I’ll call a split here. Penn State wins game one, Syracuse game two. Penn State 3-2, Syracuse 2-1

Candace: I keep expecting Northeastern to establish itself a little more. Maybe it happens here. Northeastern 3-1, 3-2

Nicole: I’ll take each team at home. Northeastern 3-2, Merrimack 2-1

Candace: I wouldn’t be surprised if both games are close, but I expect OSU to get its swagger back. Ohio State 3-1, 4-1

Nicole: The Buckeyes have to recover from last week with a good showing. I think they rebound for a sweep. Ohio State 5-1, 4-0

Candace: St. Cloud is at home, but I liked what I saw from the Beavers last weekend. Bemidji State 2-1, 3-2

Nicole: Both teams have shown themselves well at times this season. I’ll call a split, with Bemidji winning game one and St. Cloud winning game two. Bemidji State 3-1, St. Cloud State 2-1

Candace: Cornell got walloped by Clarkson a few weeks ago. They may make these closer, but won’t win. Wisconsin 4-1, 4-1

Nicole: I have to take the Badgers here. Not only do they have all the confidence but they’ve played 10 more games than Cornell. Wisconsin 4-2, 4-3

Candace: These two always play each other close, but BC’s offense looks awfully good right now. Boston College 4-2, 4-2

Nicole: BC should sweep this one but I’d guess St. Lawrence gives them a fight. Boston College 4-3, 3-2

Candace: I’m severely tempted to pick a split, but New Hampshire hasn’t shown me enough just yet. Colgate 3-2, 3-2

Nicole: I think this could be a really good test for the Raiders. I’d be totally unsurprised if New Hampshire wins, but I’ll go with Colgate to sweep. Colgate 4-2, 4-3

Candace: The Catamounts are too inconsistent to challenge over an entire game. Clarkson 4-1, 4-1

Nicole: Clarkson should sweep this one. Clarkson 5-3, 3-1.

Candace: A few years ago, this would have been a marquee matchup. Not this year. Minnesota 4-1, 3-1

Nicole: Gophers get a series sweep. Minnesota 3-1, 4-2

Candace: I like the Big Green to pick up two wins on the weekend. Dartmouth 3-2

Nicole: I’m going to pick Brown to get their first win here. Brown 2-1

Candace: I haven’t been impressed by the Elis yet. Harvard 3-1

Nicole: Harvard should handle this one. Harvard 3-0

Candace: I’m beginning to think Union might be better than expected, but not enough to pick them here. Princeton 3-1

Nicole: The Tigers should be able to take this one. Princeton 4-1

Candace: Tempted to pick the upset for the visitors, but I lean toward the home team. Quinnipiac 2-1

Nicole: I expect the Bobcats to win this. Quinnipiac 2-1

Candace: Maine has so far looked more consistent, so I’ll go with home ice. Maine 3-2

Nicole: Maine should win this at home. Maine 4-2
