I picked up a game on Nicole last week, after a few weekends where she’d cut my lead. I went 21-5-5, while Nicole went 20-6-5. On the year, I am 123-41-23, while Nicole is 118-46-23. Some interesting contests to pick this weekend, so let’s get to it!

Candace: Brown got its first win of the year last week, but I don’t see the Bears beating the Big Red. Cornell 3-1

Nicole: The Big Red should bounce back with a win here. Cornell 4-1

Candace: I may just pick Clarkson in every ECAC game this season. Clarkson 4-

Nicole: I don’t think Quinnipiac has what it takes to upset Clarkson this year. Clarkson 3-0

Candace: St. Lawrence should win this, unless the Saints are drained after the BC series. St. Lawrence 3-1

Nicole: I’ll take St. Lawrence at home. St. Lawrence 3-1

Candace: Yale has been too inconsistent for me to pick the upset. Colgate 4-1

Nicole: Colgate should win this. Colgate 4-0

Candace: Neither team has exactly lit the world on fire so far. I’m going out on a limb and picking Syracuse to sweep. Syracuse 2-1, 3-2

Nicole: I think RIT has what it takes to get the sweep. RIT 3-1, 2-0

Candace: UConn tied the Eagles last time out, but I expect a sweep. Boston College 4-2, 4-2

Nicole: I expect the Huskies to push them, but BC gets the sweep. Boston College 4-2, 5-3

Candace: Providence hasn’t quite been as consistent as I think it could be, but I’ll take a Friars sweep. Providence 3-2, 3-2

Nicole: I’ll take a split, with each team winning at home. Merrimack 2- 1, Providence 3-2,

Candace: I’d love to pick the Crusaders to win one, but they didn’t look good against Sacred Heart. Harvard 4-1, 4-1

Nicole: Thus far the Crimson are showing that last season was an aberration, but the new norm. I expect they sweep. Harvard 3-0, 2-0

Candace: The Terriers should start winning at some point, but for now there’s no percentage in picking them. Vermont 2-1, 2-1

Nicole: Vermont is at home and needs the points, so I think they get hyped and earn a sweep. Vermont 2-1, 3-0

Candace: I could completely see Bemidji getting an upset in one game, but for now I’ll go with the Buckeyes. Ohio State 4-2, 3-2

Nicole: If Ohio State wants to stay in the national conversation, they have to win series like these. Bemidji won’t go down easy, but the Buckeyes sweep. Ohio State 3-2, 3-1

Candace: Duluth has been inconsistent, but the Bulldogs are at home. Minnesota Duluth 3-2, 3-2

Nicole: Duluth should be able to sweep this at home, though I like what I’ve been seeing from Mankato. Bulldogs take this. Minnesota Duluth 2-0, 3-1

Candace: Minnesota should do well against anybody not named Wisconsin or OSU in the conference. Minnesota 4-1, 4-1

Nicole: Gophers sweep. Minnesota 4-0, 5-2

Candace: The Raiders stay hot. Colgate 4-1

Nicole: Colgate wins. Colgate 4-1

Candace: Again, not picking against the Golden Knights any time soon. Clarkson 4-1

Nicole: Clarkson wins again at home. Clarkson 3-1

Candace: It will be a tight game, but expect the Saints to prevail. St. Lawrence 3-2

Nicole: St. Lawrence should be able to take this one. St. Lawrence 2-1

Candace: I expect Cornell to stay in the upper tier of the ECAC this season. Cornell 3-1

Nicole: Cornell wins. Cornell 4-1

Candace: This is probably the hardest series to pick this weekend. Maine hasn’t been as good away from Orono. I’m going on a limb and picking Northeastern to sweep. Northeastern 3-2, 3-2

Nicole: The Black Bears are motivated and have beaten Northeastern when they were playing better. I’m going to give Maine the nod and pick them to sweep. Maine 3-1, 3-2

Candace: I expected more out of UNH against Colgate, but the Wildcats should take this. New Hampshire 3-1, 3-2

Nicole: New Hampshire should sweep this. New Hampshire 3-1, 2-0

Candace: Penn State has good defense, but not enough offense. Cornell 3-2

Nicole: Cornell continues their winning ways. Cornell 4-2

Candace: Watch this be a tie, but home ice gets the nod from me. Providence 3-2

Nicole: I’m going to take Providence at home here. They’ve got similar records, and I think the Friars can take it. Providence 2-1

Candace: More of a must-win for the visitor than the home team. Boston College 4-2

Nicole: BC wins big. Boston College 5-2

Candace: The Beavers have shown themselves to be one of the more consistent WCHA teams so far. Bemidji State 3-1

Nicole: I like Bemidji here. Bemidji State 3-1
