No. 1 Wisconsin vs St. Cloud State

Sam Cogan put the Badgers on the board 6:27 in and that turned out to be all the scoring on Friday. The Huskies’ defense was the star of the game, along with a stellar outing from goalie Janine Alder. On Saturday, the Badgers scored once in each period as Presley Norby, Claudia Kepler, and Sophia Shaver led Wisconsin to a 3-0 win and weekend sweep.

Merrimack at No. 2 Boston College

Kenzie Kent scored the first and last goals for the Eagles as they took Friday’s game 4-1. Toni Ann Miano added two assists for BC. Katelyn Rae was the goal-scorer for Merrimack. On Saturday, Merrimack jumped out to a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Paige Voight and Mikyla Grant-Mentis, but Boston College took control from there. Daryl Watts, Miano, Caitrin Lonergan, and Makenna Newkirk scored four straight to give BC the 4-2 win and weekend sweep.

No. 3 Clarkson at Union

Amanda Titus opened the scoring for Clarkson and Katelynn Russ responded for Union to make it a 1-1 game after the first. The Dutchwomen were able to hold the reigning national champions off until the third period, but then the Golden Knights overpowered them with four straight goals to earn the 5-1 win. Loren Gabel scored twice for Clarkson.

No. 3 Clarkson at Rensselaer

The Golden Knights put this one away early, scoring three goals in the first nine minutes of the game. Shayna Tomlinson put the Engineers on the board, but it was not enough as Clarkson won 4-1. Elizabeth Giguere, Emma Keenan, Michaela Pejzlová, and Cassidy Vinkle were the goal-scorers for the Golden Knights.

No. 10 Robert Morris at No. 4 Colgate

The Colonials jumped out to a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Lexi Templemen and Jaycee Gebhard before Colgate scored three straight to take a 3-2 lead with 15 minutes left in the game. Natalie Fraser evened the tally at three with a late goal to force overtime, but this game ended in a tie. Olivia Zafuto, Livia Altmann, and Malia Schneider scored for Colgate.

Minnesota Duluth at No. 6 Minnesota

On Friday, Minnesota took a 1-0 lead into the third quarter thanks to an early goal from Taylor Wente. The third period was fast and furious as the teams combined for three goals in 3:17 at the beginning of the third. Grace Zumwinkle doubled that lead early in the final frame before Katerina Mrazova put the Bulldogs on the board. Caitlin Reilly extended the Gophers lead to 3-1 before Ashton Bell scored twice for UMD to tie the game and force overtime. This one could not be decided in 65:00, and Minnesota Duluth earned the extra conference point thanks to a shootout win. The Gophers responded in the second game of the series with an emphatic 5-0 win. Nicole Schammel scored twice and added an assist while Wente, Sophie Skarzynski, and Zumwinkle each lit the lamp.

No. 8 St. Lawrence at Rensselaer

This game was tighter than the Saints would have wanted and it was an impressive showing from RPI and goalie Lovisa Selander. Nadine Edney’s goal with less than a minute left in regulation won the game for St. Lawrence in the 1-0 victory.

No. 8 St. Lawrence at Union

Justine Reyes had the Saints up 1-0 through one period, and Haley Shugart tied it up for Union just a minute into the second period, but it was all St. Lawrence from there. Reyes had a second tally in addition to goals from Nadine Edney, Sklar Podvey, and Rachael Smith to lead the Saints to a 5-1 win.
