Tons of action this weekend, but only one instance where ranked teams face one another. Matt did a little better than Candace last week by correctly picking Sacred Heart to win the St. Michael’s Tournament.

This season is flying by, hard to believe that in just two months’ and change time, we’ll be crowing the 2016 NCAA champion. Heck, the regular season ends Feb. 21 – not THAT far away, really.

First things first, though, and this weekend’s key games.

Candace: I don’t know if I’ll pick against the Cardinals at all this year. Plattsburgh 5-1, 6-1

Matt: Plattsburgh has to lose at some point? Right? Possibly? Maybe, just not here. Plattsburgh 6-2, 5-1

Candace: St. Scholastica is a better team than its record, but it won’t be enough against Lake Forest. Lake Forest 4-1, 5-1

Matt: Don’t let St. Scholastica’s 5-7-0 mark fool you — the Saints are 3-1-0 at home this season. That said, Lake Forest has the goal-scoring extraordinaire in Michelle Greeneway and she’s the difference here as Lake Forest sweeps. Lake Forest 3-1, 5-2

Candace: This should be an intense game. I like the visitors. Norwich -1

Matt: This is the one matchup between ranked teams. This one could go either way, but I’m liable to side with the underdog, if there is one, in the Spartans. Castleton 4-3

Candace: Middlebury has been on a roll, and I think it continues. Middlebury 3-1

Matt: Endicott could easily be ranked with its 8-4-2 record, but no dice. That may change if the Gulls can beat the Panthers and my guess is that happens, possibly in overtime. Endicott 3-1
