This is also a true test for the Badgers who have played an easy schedule with the exception of Boston University to start the season. UW will face UMD next week and Michigan the week after but I expect the Badgers to pass this test. Sconni sweep.

Michigan Tech (3-2-2, 1-2-1 WCHA) at No. 2 Minnesota-Duluth (7-1-0, 4-1-1 WCHA) Tyler: I expect the Bulldogs to score nine goals this weekend and the Huskies are in trouble. UMD sweep.

No. 8 Nebraska-Omaha (7-1-0, 4-0-0 WCHA) at St. Cloud State (4-5-1, 2-2-0 WCHA) Tyler: These teams are in the opposite spots they were projected to be in when the WCHA Preseason Poll was released. It will be a telling weekend for both teams. The Huskies folded in the face of Miami’s offense a month ago in St. Cloud and I don’t think the Mavericks will have any trouble scoring on SCSU either. I do expect SCSU to win a game that reaches double digits in goals between the teams. Split.

Minnesota State (2-4-4, 2-4-2 WCHA) at No. 15 Denver (4-4-2, 3-2-1 WCHA) Tyler: Last Saturday’s third period meltdown should have the Pioneers inspired. Denver sweep.

Alaska-Anchorage (1-5-1, 0-3-1 WCHA) at Bemidji State (1-4-1, 1-4-1 WCHA) Tyler: After a challenging start to the season, BSU wins its first game at the Sanford Center when it sweeps the Seawolves. BSU sweep.

Colorado College (4-5-1, 2-4-0 WCHA) at Air Force, vs. No. 3 Yale Tyler: The Tigers have to feel pretty good about themselves after the way they salvaged the split against Denver last week but CC needs more scoring from outside the Schwartz family. CC over Air Force and then loses to Yale.

Last week Theresa: 5-4-1 Season Theresa: 27-18-6 Last week Tyler: 6-3-1 Season Tyler: 20-11-2 Friday, November 12 and Saturday, November 13 No. 10 North Dakota (5-4-1, 4-2-0 WCHA) at No. 13 Wisconsin (6-2-2, 3-1-2 WCHA) Theresa: Tricky series.
Theresa: Tricky series. Will Wisconsin dominate? Will the Sioux start doing the same? Regardless of what happens, it should be a great weekend of hockey. I think, though, we’ll see a split: UND Friday, UW Saturday.

Theresa: Tech comes off the bye into another tough test of its mettle. If I called ties, I’d call one here. Since I don’t, UMD sweep.

Theresa: UNO is unbeaten in league while SCSU still tries to make its mark. I really want to go with a UNO sweep, but I’m not going to. UNO Friday, SCSU Saturday.

Theresa: These two teams have had some interesting games between them the last couple of years which makes me inclined to call a split. However, you know DU wants to rebound from Saturday’s debacle in the Springs, so I’m going to go ballsy and call a DU sweep.

Theresa: We’ve got two teams that are struggling. One just got its first league win and the other is still looking for it. I think the likely result here is a split: BSU Friday, UAA Saturday.

Theresa: The two Springs teams are very inconsistent this year; it’ll be interesting to see which of each team shows up. Still, the likely overall result of the weekend will be CC Friday over Air Force and then a loss Saturday against the strong Eli.
